FAQ
What is hypnosis?
Hypnotherapy is a natural process of tapping into the power of your own mind to achieve your self-improvement goals. It is a heightened state of suggestibility that we all experience from varying degrees on a daily basis. Have you noticed watching a movie or reading a book can change your emotions? Or what about when you are about to go to sleep and you feel drowsy? Or when you are so lost in your own thoughts that you miss your exit on the highway… It is during these periods that our subconscious mind is extremely open and receptive to suggestions coming from our own thoughts or from other people.
Is hypno-therapy a type of therapy?
A Hypnotherapist often differs from others therapists by focusing on the role of subconscious behaviors and influences on the client’s life and focuses on changing the subconscious programming. However, we still spend time talking which is the NLP Coaching part of therapy.
In essence, a Hypnotherapist is a Life Coach skilled with the power of Hypnosis. Make sure that the hypnotherapist has the proper training and qualifications.
I have attended a 1 year long comprehensive training (with internship) at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, a highly accredited college in the United States. In addition to that, I have certifications in NLP, Life Coaching and Nutrition.
What happens during the hypnosis session?
During the first session we discuss your goals and desires and together agree on a therapeutic approach that’s customized for you. While under hypnosis, we will work with your subconscious mind to get results quickly and effectively. You will experience how good hypnosis, imagery or energy balancing feels.
I provide a safe environment for you and you will be in control the entire time. You will never do things you don’t want. During the hypnotic session, you are not asleep. In fact, your mind is quite alert and you are very in tuned with all that is happening around you. Your senses are heightened and you are able to concentrate on what is being said.
Everything that occurs during your Hypnotherapy session can be recalled. You will leave feeling refreshed and alert with a wonderful sense of well-being.
The first 15-20 minutes of the session focuses on cognitive behavioral coaching which involves discussing your issue and goals. The hypnotic part of the session can last anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes.
How can hypno-therapy help you?
Hypnotherapy can treat a variety of issues quickly & efficiently and help you lead a more mindful lifestyle. It can help you improve or transform your mindset, emotions, behaviors, habits, reduce stress as well as overcome anxiety, fears, and any personal challenges in your life. Keep in mind that hypnotherapy is a “do-with” which means we need to work together in order for hypnosis to work for you. It is not a tool that will fix you unless you are willing to do the work on your end.
I am simply a facilitator guiding you along your journey helping you access your inner-resources which is also your subconscious mind, because we all have the answers within us.

Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately I do not accept insurance. Hypnosis and hypnotherapy are not licensed professions anywhere in the US. However, I always try and work with clients on payment plans or find a solution if finances become a problem during a course of our sessions. Occasionally I offer pro-bono services or discounts for existing clients. Please reach out to me for any questions.
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions depend on the person and their goals. For simple goals, 3 sessions is all it takes to make lasting change. The average is 6 sessions as most clients have multiple things they would like to work on or that are related to their primary reason for coming. That said, there is no way to tell exactly how many sessions you will need until we discuss your personal challenges and goals and start working together.
